This listing is for a Colt MFG America Remembers The American Eagle Tribute Pistol limited edition 1911 series 80 semi-auto pistol chambered in 45ACP. The pistol is finished blue with rosewood grips and has an etched 24-karat gold eagle inlay with a pure silver eagle’s head on both sides of the slide and frame. The bushing, sights, hammer, slide release and grip screws are gold plated. The certificate of authenticity shows that this pistol is number 1477 out of 2500 made and issued. The bottom of the pistol near the bore shows the same serial number. The pistol was original issued to Ronald Berger. The certificate was hand signed by the President of America Remembers, Paul J. Warden, and the Historical Advisor for the United State Society of Arms and Armour. This pistol originally came with a wood presentation case that we unfortunately do not have. Included will be a Colt OEM Blue cardboard box.
Overall this pistol is in excellent condition. There are some very fine a light finish scratches on bottom of the pistol near the bore along with on the beavertail safety. However, this pistol is beautiful and would make for an incredible piece for a collection.
