The CZ A01-SD is a semi-automatic metal frame pistol that is built from scratch at CZ Custom. It is the evolution of the Shadow series, designed with input from Angus, and features several upgrades and modifications. The frame of the A01-SD is the standout feature, as it is hammer-forged, CNC-machined, and then blued. It has a significantly heavy dustcover that helps to reduce recoil and muzzle rise. The frame also includes a deep beavertail, an undercut trigger guard, raised 25 LPI checkering, and an internal magwell. These features contribute to the classic CZ 75 ergonomics while providing benefits for competition shooting.To ensure a high-quality trigger, the A01-SD has both the hammer and sear directly pinned into the frame. This helps to solidify trigger pull consistency. The double-action pull weight ranges from 8 to 8.5 lbs, while the single-action pull weight ranges from 3 to 3.5 lbs. The A01-SD incorporates several CZ Custom components, including the CZC Ghost Competition hammer, CZC short reset disconnector, CZC 85 gunsmith trigger, CZC extended firing pin, and a fiber optic front sight. The slide of the A01-SD is CNC-machined from 4140 bar stock and features front and rear serrations for easy manipulation. The pistol comes with a 4.925″ match-grade bull barrel made from 416 stainless steel, which enhances accuracy.The A01-SD is designed for use with the higher capacity P-09, P-07, and P-10 magazine platform. It comes with two 19-round P-09 magazines.Additional features of the CZ A01-SD include an optic ready slide with a DPP (Leupold DeltaPoint Pro) and RMR (Trijicon Ruggedized Miniature Reflex) plate included. The pistol also has a fiber optic front sight and a serrated rear sight.
