The FN 509 Midsize MRD is an upgraded version of the FN 509 Midsize pistol. It comes with the FN Low Profile Optics Mounting System, which allows you to directly mount more than 10 different miniature red dot optics onto the pistol. This feature makes it ideal for concealed carry. The pistol has a four-inch barrel and slide, an optics mounting package, and a midsized frame. It has a 10-round capacity, which is suitable for self-defense purposes. The controls of the FN 509 Midsize MRD have been improved for easier manipulation. The two included backstraps have improved texturing, which helps with recoil management. Additionally, the pistol has a new flatter faced trigger, which allows for more controllable trigger press and a cleaner break. The FN 509 Midsize MRD has a polymer frame with a Flat Dark Earth finish. It comes with 2-15 round magazines and features ambidextrous controls. The pistol does not have a manual safety and is optics ready, meaning it is designed to accept optics for enhanced aiming capabilities.
