Manufactured by the German company Mauser, this rifle was a variant of the Mauser 1893 and featured the 7x57mm Mauser caliber. It had a distinctive straight bolt handle, five-round internal box magazine, and a turned-down bolt. The Chileno Model 1895 was known for its robust and reliable design, making it a popular choice not only in Chile but also among other South American countries. It played a significant role in various conflicts in the region, including the Chilean Civil War and the War of the Pacific. Today, the Chileno Model 1895 is considered a historical collector’s item, valued for its craftsmanship and its connection to the military history of Chile.
