The Ruger SR1911 TALO Edition is a classic semi-automatic pistol based on the original 1911 design. It features precision CNC-controlled machining for a tight slide-to-frame fit and smooth slide travel. The black nitride coated stainless steel bull barrel adds weight to the muzzle for improved recoil control. The gun also has a full-length guide rod and positive barrel lock-up for superior accuracy.The pistol has a traditional design with replaceable grip panels and a checkered backstrap for a secure hold. The lightweight aluminum skeletonized trigger provides a crisp, light trigger pull with no creep and a quick, positive reset. The skeletonized hammer and titanium firing pin contribute to faster lock time.The SR1911 TALO Edition has an oversized beavertail grip safety for reliable function and an extended thumb safety and slide stop lever for improved manipulation. The integral plunger tube for the slide stop and thumb safety is not staked and will never come loose.Other features of the pistol include an oversized ejection port, extended magazine release, and inspection port for visual confirmation of a loaded or empty chamber. It has a flat mainspring housing and rear slide serrations for a secure grip.The gun accepts most aftermarket 1911 parts and accessories and comes with two stainless steel magazines. The TALO special edition features a black nitride finish and white chevron Ivorylite grips. The pistol has night sights and a manual safety, and it holds 8 rounds of 10mm ammunition.
